Where Does The Time Go?

Wow! It's been awhile! Where does all the time go. I had this great plan to get spring cleaning done, remember? Well, B and C2's rooms are done and that is about all the farther I got. What have I been up to? We are having our community garage sale on the 10th. I really need to get busy.

Last weekend B went camping with his Boy Scout Troop. They went to the Daniel Boone National Forest in Morehead, KY. His troop goes camping at least once a month. B always enjoys himself, although he would never admit it. The week before they leave is always full of arguments. I don't know why. He knows he is going. And, he will have a GREAT time. I guess it's just part of being of 15. You have to argue about every. darn. thing. Nothing is easy with this one. I always hated when my mom said "Because I said so". Now I swear I say it 100 times a day. Why doesn't anyone just do what they are told the first time? WHY?

C1 is off to her church group tonight. She started going with a friend and loves it. I'm so glad because our church doesn't really offer anything for her age group. Although I do know that the pastor is trying to get something started. He is new and hopefully can get the whole pre-teen/teen group thing going. It would be great for all my kids.

Last night was watch night at C1's dance classes. She takes 3 hours of dance on Tuesdays. She said "You're staying for all 3 hours, right mom?" Oh. Yeah. So being the wonderful mom that I am, I stayed. The whole time I thought of what I could be doing. Grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning her room, etc. But I did come out with a new respect for her. She dances for three hours straight! They really work these kids. I would have collapsed in the first 10 minutes, let alone 3 hours! She really is amazing!

A Day Off

Well, not really. A day off from school actually. Today we had a fog day. We have already used all of our calamity days for snow, so we will now be making up a total of three days. This puts us in school until June 4th. I just hope the weather is not too hot. We'll see...

I was excited to get this extra time because I never did get C2's room done. I have made out a schedule to get the rest of my spring cleaning done. What's the rush? Community Garage Sale Day! We are planning a garage sale for May 10th. This is when the whole village has a sale. This is the best time to get rid of things. That is why I am trying to get spring cleaning done now, so I can go through clothes, toys, closets, and anywhere else people have crammed stuff for the last year and get RID of it.

My kids have all really enjoyed the day. B went to a friends house to work on building a dirt bike. This friend is a GREAT kid and one that B used to hang with a lot. They kinda went their separate ways for a while so I was glad when he called B today. Some of B's other choices in friends have not been too good lately. His dad and I are at whits end with him. He is almost 15 and thinks he knows it all. Overall, he is a good kid. He is honest, funny, hardworking, and smart. He has so much potential. It's just these teenage years. I can't wait to be done with them. Especially with him. I worry so much about him.

C1 and C2 have played outside together ALL day. They get along so good. They took all their Webkinz out and had a picnic. They went across the street and played on the sidewalk for at least two and a half hours. They are so funny. I only hope that they continue to get along so well. They really are good friends!

A Light Dusting?

So, as I'm walking through the living room today with the sun shining through the windows, this is what I see. Do you think it's time to dust?

Home Alone...

OK. I always wish that I had time just to be alone and get things done. So, here I am and what am I doing? Playing on the computer. Well, not playing actually. I checked my e-mail, read a couple of blogs posts, ordered Disney's Movie Club's latest pick of the month. I really have been busy. Now, I guess I'm just stalling.

Here's what I should be doing. I need to sort laundry and get that started. Oh, but first I need to strip C1's bed and wash it. That is the first thing. Then I need to do what I call the 10 minute pick-up. I go through each room and pick up quickly. Just put things in their places really. Finally, I will go upstairs to finish spring cleaning C2's bedroom. The toy box has been gone through, Lego's picked up, and his bed torn apart. When I have the room all cleaned we are putting a new bed in there for him. (Hopefully by Thursday) All I have to do is wash down the walls, wash the window, and finish going through his clothes. Not too bad. It's just a matter of making myself go up there. After his room, it will be B's turn.

I'm here alone for a while because C1 is at dance. Luckily it's not my turn to pick up, so I am done running for the night. C2 is playing at my cousins. B is out running the streets with friends. And my Husband, M, is working until 9:00 tonight.

I need to go get busy. Lots to accomplish. And also, Big Brother is on tonight. Natalie better get back doored or I'm going to lose it! She is running that house and none of them can see it. She will win if they don't get her out. I can't stand Natalie. She is SO fake!

Enjoy the spring weather! It is finally getting warm here! I LOVE it!

Hello...

Hello...Hello...Is anyone there? I'm not too sure about this whole blog thing. I guess everyone else is doing it, so why not?

I'm not too sure how often I will post. I hope to use this as a journal for my kids. I know that I do not tell them enough how much they mean to me. Hopefully, this will let me open up and express some of my feelings. I have a tendency to keep MY feeling inside. I don't let other people in too much. But, I am always there for someone else. This is something I need to work on to let my family know what they actually mean to me.

I have a wonderful, hard working husband. We have been married 17 years. We have three kids. B is 15, C1 is 11, and C2 is 8.

We are a busy family, as are many others. This does not make us special. However, I will be writing about our business quite a lot. Just know that I am not bragging or complaining, just letting it all out. I guess you could call it venting.

I need to go, my alone time is almost up. Husband (M) will be home soon. I don't like to get caught on the computer when I should be doing other things. I have a lot to accomplish tonight.

Have a GREAT evening!
