Whose Toothbrush Is It?

This morning B left for New York City with the High School Band.

He had to be at the High School at 5:30am!

I got him up at 4:30 to get a shower and finish packing.

After he showered, shaved, and brushed his teeth I asked him if he put his tooth brush in the bag.

He hadn't.

After asking him which one was his, I went in to get it. There were two green ones. One was wet, so I packed it.

Fast forward to when C2 was getting ready for school.

He went into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

"Where's my toothbrush?" he yells.

I don't know if I just packed the wrong one, or if they have actually been using the same brush!!!

One Crazy Night!

Last Friday was C1's birthday.

It was also the night of our School Carnival.

So this Friday, we had a sleepover.

We had a total of eight girls here! Eight hyper, loud, funny girls!

After they danced and sang in the field across the street, went for a walk, and ate a whole sheet pizza, they did this.

Each girl decorated a pillow case and then they all signed them. Thank you Internet for this idea!!! They enjoyed it and thought I had the best idea! (Shhh! They'll never know)

They had cake and ice cream.

Poor C1 got bombarded with a few handfuls of cake...

They gave themselves "make-overs" and we went for a walk. They even convinced M to take them down to the school so they could "Swing...in the dark", which they called out several times.

They danced...on.my.couch.

They never did sleep, but that's what it's all about, right?

These are the memories that they will look back on and smile.

They're good girls!!!

Meet Blue Belle...

About a year ago our rabbit, Midnight, died. He was almost five years old. When he died, he left a BIG hole in our hearts, mine especially.

Over the last year, we have been asked to take in a couple of rabbits. It never felt right. A friend of mine, breeds rabbits. I had talked to her about getting one this spring. She really didn't have the kind I wanted, but I would have tried it. Unfortunately, the first litter she had all died. It wasn't meant to be...

Then, the janitor at the school, brought in some rabbits he had. I didn't get to see them, but I heard how beautiful they were. They were almost three weeks old and a very rare slate blue color. Without even seeing them, I knew, this was our rabbit.

Meet Blue Belle...

She came home yesterday and just made herself at home. She is tame, and calm, and loves to snuggle. She reminds me of the way Midnight was when he was little.

Blue Belle is six weeks old.

Already, she is loved beyond comprehension.

She has won my heart over, as well as everyone else's.

Well, almost everyone.

Some of us, still have some adjusting to do...

Really!?!

Men!

Yesterday, on our way home from Columbus, there was a commercial on the radio.

It said, "If a man talks in the forest, and his wife doesn't hear him, is he still wrong?"

My reply was, "Probably".

My brother-in-law asked M if he heard that? He hadn't.

So R says, "If a man yells in the forest, and his wife doesn't hear him, is he still lost?"

WHAT!?!

I just let it go.

No use arguing.

Men are always wrong.

We Missed Him!!!

Because my brother-in-law is one of the most unorganized, poor planners I know, we MISSED Guy Fieri!!!

We arrived at the food show at one, it was over at three, and Guy performed at ELEVEN!!!

Everyone told us how good he was

Sure, rub it in.

I'm so disappointed!

Diners, Drive-In's, & Dives

Today, M and I are headed to another food show.

What makes this one so exciting? We are scheduled to hear Guy Fieri speak!

I probably won't hear a word he says because I will mesmerized by his good looks!

Is he HOT or what!?!

Chick Action

We have two chicks!!!

Yesterday morning, we had one; by the evening, we had two.

I hate that I am out of the classroom most of the week:(

I wonder how many we'll end up with?

Too cute!

Baby Girl

Being the wonderful mother that I am, I am two days late on this.

Friday, was C1's birthday. She turned twelve.years.old! I have no idea how this happened. Where did the years go? When your kids are born, the future looks so long. You have all the time in the world. Then, you blink, and twelve years have gone by.

C1 is just a bundle of sunshine. The girl always has a smile on her face! She has the best sense of humor. (I like to think she gets that from me!) Her laugh is contagious! She is absolutely beautiful, on the inside and out.

There are times though, that the drama of being twelve, just wants to make me scream!!! But I know, when we get through all of this, she and I will be BEST FRIENDS!

I love you C1!!!

Day 19

Today is day 19 for our Kindergarten chicks.

Yesterday, we took them off the moving trays. They are in position to hatch.

Monday, we should start getting some that hatch.

I'll have to stop in tomorrow to check on them.

Exciting!!!

Busy

Have you ever been so bogged down with things in your life, that you just feel like you can not continue with it all?

So heavy with the burden of everything that you just want to curl up and go to sleep?

That is my mood today.

I want a distraction...I need a distraction...

But, do I go there?

One Year

Today is my Blogiversary...

It started here, one year ago.

I had no idea what I was doing, no idea what to say, and I hid it from everyone.

My, how far we've come!!!

Thank you to all who come here to share my life and thoughts...

My Baby!!!

Today, my baby turns 9!

How is that possible? It wasn't that long ago that he was born.

He has always been the sweetest, happiest child.

Being the last of three, I feel that sometimes he gets gypped. This is something I need to work on.

He is the most sensitive of the three, and is not afraid to show his feelings, or let me know what he needs. He is funny, smart, and loving. He's my baby!

I love you C2!!!

Happy Birthday!

Interested?

Yesterday C2 was supposed to be cleaning his room.

I could hear him digging through his Lego box.

Digging and digging.

He found a lot of pieces that he was thrilled with. Pieces that he didn't even know he had.

He put them in this box, and took them to school today to show his friends.

After school, we had to pick up my mom. As we were going out the door, he grabbed the box.

"Why are you taking that?" I asked.

"To show Grandma" he said.

I told him that his grandma didn't want to see his Lego's.

"She'll be very interested!" he said.

As soon as she got in the car, he opened the box to show her.

Being the wonderful grandma that she is, she listened as he explained every one.

He was right, I was wrong.

She was interested.

Sleep...

why do you elude me?

Why is it 3:00 am, and I am wide awake?

The whole house is asleep, and here I sit.

Incubating Chicks

One of my favorite activities in Kindergarten is when we actually incubate eggs and the baby chicks hatch.

On Tuesday we received our incubator and eggs.

The top questions coming from the kids are:

*Are they cooking?
*Are they hatching?
*Will they get bigger?
*When will they hatch?

And of course, they always see one move! Yeah, right!

What the kids don't know?

I am probably the MOST excited one in the class!

"When will they hatch?" I ask the teacher.

Every.

Day.

Facebook?

Do you Facebook?

I have a friend that was totally into it. She was reconnecting with old friends and having a ball!

"You need to get on Facebook!" she would say.

What she didn't know was that I had been on Facebook. I didn't understand Facebook. I couldn't figure out Facebook.

I know. It's sad.

So, I tried it again.

I guess you could call me a Facebook junkie now.

I have found a few friends that I never thought I would talk to again. It's been fun.

But there's this one...one that I really had no desire to talk to again...that I can't stop talking to now...

Yeah, I'm hooked.
